Meet Dr. Maria Soto, O.D. (Fort Worth, TX)
Maria Soto, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2021 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. Her areas of special interest include glaucoma, diabetes, and dry eye syndrome.
Dr. Soto’s passion for optometry began in high school, when she witnessed the lasting impact that untreated amblyopia had on her twin sister, who now lives with permanent vision loss. This experience inspired Dr. Soto to pursue a career dedicated to protecting and improving her patients’ vision and overall eye health. She also wanted to pursue a career in the medical field that would allow her to maintain a fulfilling work-life balance and build a family of her own. She believes optometry has been the perfect fit and says she could not have chosen a better career.
Dr. Soto is passionate about educating her patients about their overall eye health and helping them understand the importance of regular eye examinations in maintaining healthy vision and identifying potential eye conditions. She believes that patient education is an essential part of providing comprehensive, personalized eye care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Soto enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Dominguez, a veterinarian, and their two beautiful daughters. She especially cherishes creating lasting memories and enjoying quality time with her family.
